Coach Terrance T. Chatman has built a career on one principle: develop the whole athlete. From Detroit's hardwood to the highest levels of collegiate competition, his player-first approach has produced All-Conference honorees, conference statistical leaders, and student-athletes who go on to compete at four-year programs.

Top assistant to Head Coach Baker. Helped double the team's win total from the prior season in first year on staff.

Back-to-back MAC West Division titles. Trey Zeigler set CMU's single-season freshman scoring record (506 pts), earning MAC All-Freshman Team honors.

MEAC2016–2018

Florida A&M University

Women's Assistant Coach

9-7 conference record, #4 MEAC Tournament seed, MEAC Semifinals. Shakerrys Morrison led the entire MEAC in rebounds.

SWAC2015–2016

Alcorn State University

Men's Associate Head Coach

15-15 overall, 13-5 SWAC — earned #2 seed. Tamarico Wilson named 2nd Team All-Conference.

NJAA2022–2024

Southwestern Christian College
